METHO launch Tom Lyngcoln's 'RAGING HEAD' EP at The Fitzroy Pinnacle

"Metho are all lacking in the eyes. 1000 yard stares / shark eyes. Lifers who have probably pushed the Coles cart too far down Chapel Street to get home safe. Born out of Tom Lyngcoln's (Harmony/The Nation Blue / Down Under / Pale Heads) 2020 recording Raging Head, Metho features the backing band from that album; Jay Allen (The Kill, Mid Youth Crisis/One Inch Punch, Heads Kicked Off, Remains, Fuck…I’m Dead, Resistance, Identity Theft) on drums and CJ Foley (The Stevens, The Blinds, Tyrannamen) on bass. Featuring the new addition of Jackson Reid Briggs (Jackson Reid Briggs & The Heaters, Split System, Nikko) on vocals and guitar, Metho have morphed into something more loose and punk tweaked. The rage prevails but the energy is raw and weird. These are sceneless off grid nihilists who couldn’t prevent the personality seeping through. No one said "wanna put a band together that sounds like SSD beating on No Trend”. It is what it is and it has hooks.
Four years after the release of Raging Head, Metho are finally ready to launch it live and completely relegate it to the past. It’s a funeral for an old friend.
With a whole new album called Metholated Spirit due out in early 2025 Metho invite you to come and send off Raging Head in rough fashion at the Pinnacle Hotel on Saturday November 30th with support from Melbourne’s best band Serpette and Tasmania’s best band Slag Queens. Ticket are limited like public liability, so get in early and aggressive."
